It will be at Birches Valley, near Rugeley, and guest singers will be Lulu, Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall. Fans were struggling to get through to the box office after tickets went on sale at 9am today.

The show is sure to attract fans from all over the country to the Chase.

Last year embrace and UB40 played concerts on Cannock Chase, prompting complaints from residents who were worried about niose and nuisance from concert-goers. But they proved hugely successful events. Alastair Semple, forest planner for the Forestry Commission in the West Midlands, said box office staff had been extremely busy since tickets for The Feeling went on sale recently.

The band is performing on Cannock Chase on June 22 and 1,400 of the 4,500 tickets available were sold in the first 72 hours. Tickets for Jools Holland cost £30 and for The Feeling cost £24. They are available from 01842 814612, or logging on to www.forestry.gov.uk/music and www.ticketmaster.co.uk
