Last year a sell out crowd of 7,000 people were Rockin' All Over the World to the sounds of Status Quo, and organisers are hoping for even more success this time around.The Burntwood Wakes will be staged on August 11 and 12, and Creative World Entertainment is project managing the entire weekend, which is organised by Burntwood Town Council.

Mervyn Spence, managing director of Creative World Entertainment, said he was in talks with agents at the moment.

"Feeder is a possibility and I have been considering going up as high as Deep Purple, so various things are in the pipeline."

Also new for this year is the Lichfield-based corporate entertainment firm the Norman Phillips Organisation, which has been drafted in to help organise the family day on Saturday, August 11.
