More snow is forecast
Thousands of pupils were enjoying an extended half-term as schools stayed shut across the West Midlands for the second day running.

And with snow forecast again for later today, more traffic problems were expected. Dozens of schools in Wolverhampton, Walsall and Staffordshire remained shut.
All schools in Birmingham stayed closed and more than 60 did not open in Sandwell.
Gritters worked late into the night and again this morning to prepare the roads for the rush hour.
