The 31-year-old's condition was today described as critical but stable after suffering a fractured skull in the head-on collision which happened on Sunday afternoon. Staffordshire's air ambulance airlifted the injured motorcyclist to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham following the smash at Horsebrook, near Stretton. He was later taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in the city for surgery. A second biker, from Stoke-on-Trent, was taken to North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary with fractures to both wrists and one knee. Read the full story in the Express & Star
