Ban on wrapping 'is rubbish'
Families across Cannock Chase who put Christmas wrapping paper out to be recycled were left fuming after workers refused to take it away.

Households had demanded the controversial fortnightly refuse collection be returned to a weekly service over Christmas to cater for brimming bins - but officials refused.
Councillor John Kraujalis, who represents Cannock South ward, said he put recycling items out to be collected this week and included Christmas wrapping paper with the paper items.
But he said workers left it behind and branded the situation "stupid".
Councillor Kraujalis said: "It's paper and I put it with the rest of the paper. If we are paying for this service I'm going to put my rubbish out and I expect it to be taken away.
"Apparently they've been leaving all of the Christmas paper people have put out.
"I thought the whole point of doing the recycling was to collect things like Christmas wrapping paper but apparently not. It's absolutely stupid."
Tom Hobbins, spokesman for Cannock Chase District Council today explained that no wrapping paper could be recycled because of the inks and dyes it contained.
