A £5,000 reward was offered today to help catch those responsible for seriously injuring a Midland train driver who was hit by a section of brick wall.
Joseph Paxton from Birmingham was driving an EWS freight train in Kidderminster when his windscreen was hit by about five large bricks in a block.
Officers believe the section of wall fell on to the train near a footbridge in Offmore Road as it was travelling between Llanwern, South Wales, and Brierley Hill, West Midlands, on Sunday evening.
The driver managed to press the train's emergency horn to alert a member of the public, who rang police. He suffered critical head and facial injuries and remains in the Royal Worcester Hospital.
Witnesses should call 0800 405040.
