Millions of people around the globe already watch the BBC's popular religious programme - and now residents have the chance to see their own cathedral under the spotlight.
Canon Charles Taylor, precentor at the cathedral, is even thinking of holding a Songs of Praise party for friends in celebration of the occasion. The show was recorded at Lichfield's most famous landmark last month.
The decorations changed for an Easter special which was recorded the following day. The event attracted hundreds of people from churches across the county, Shropshire and the Black Country as they formed the ecumenical congregations and choirs for the two services.
It will be presented by Olympic gold medal winner Jonathan Edwards and airs on BBC One at 6.10pm.
Canon Taylor is now encouraging people to tune in to watch the show, which will include traditional carols O Come All Ye Faithful and O Little Town of Bethlehem.
"Viewers will see their cathedral in all its glory," he said.
