Stourbridge-based rock band Midas are to have their debut single sold in Virgin Megastores.

The bands song Don't Dance will be released on February 5, 2007. It will be sold in Virgin Megastores and via digital downloads.

The band also received rave reviews from Kerrang! Radio listeners after they appeared on the show earlier this week.

The single was recorded two weeks ago with Gavin Monaghan who has worked with Mercury Music Prize nominees The Editors.

The band also set up its own MySpace website, www.myspace.com/midas and a website at www.midas-official.com

Midas will be playing a free afternoon gig tomorrow at Oasis Market in Birmingham City Centre.

They are also due to play at Birmingham's Barfly venue on December 21; Wolverhampton University's Walsall campus on January 9; The Varsity in Wolverhampton on January 30 and Bar Academy in Birmingham on February 2.
