Soul band make X Factor final
They have already wowed the judges, and now soulful Black Country band 4Sure are hoping to win over the crowds after making it through to the live shows of X Factor. Millions of viewers tuned into the hit show on Saturday night to watch the group take the next step towards transforming their music dreams into reality - and now the lads have vowed to "win it for Wolverhampton".
The city-based four-piece band, made up of Jermaine Sanderson, Donovan Bailey, Drew Fisher and Chris Watters, travelled to Ireland to wow Louis Walsh with their unique sounds and make it through to the final 12.
Drew said today: "When we got there it was very overwhelming because it was such an amazing setting.
"We had been given a week to practice our song and it was very nerve-wracking to know that we had just one shot to impress the panel and that was it.
"Once you have got through boot camp and you get to that stage it is so tense. We put 100 per cent into it and we were really pleased with our performance. It would have been really horrible to have let ourselves down at that stage."
After making their final bid to impress Louis and the team, the group faced an agonising wait to find out if their dreams had been shattered, Jermaine said: "It really was agonising.
"We just couldn't sleep but when we were told we were through we were just ecstatic.
"Louis was really nice to us and told us we were unique. It was a wonderful feeling and when we got back home to tell our family they were just over the moon."
"The countdown is now on for the live shows. We are just practising really hard in preparation.
"Obviously there are a few butterflies but we are all really excited about getting on stage to perform.
"This is what we do it for, for the feeling you get when you perform. We just hope we can do it and make the Midlands proud."
