Mick and Josie Timmins, from Dudley, became the fourth-biggest winners in the Black Country since the lottery started in 1994 and are already planning how to spend their windfall.

The lucky couple have decided that their first treat will be West Bromwich Albion season tickets as they were presented with a giant cheque at the Hawthorns today.

They will also be buying a new house and going on a dream holiday to Mexico with sons Lee, aged 20 and Michael, 16.

Josie, 46, a part-time hairdresser, said: "The whole family have always supported the Baggies but we've never been able to afford season tickets before.

"Now with our Lotto win, they will be the first thing we splash out on."

Mick, aged 48, a health and safety manager for Stanford Industrial Floors, added: "We will definitely buy a new house as I collect koi carp so I'd love to have a bigger pond.

"Josie loves handbags so I'm sure she will be treating herself to a few.

"This win means everything to us - it's a fantastic feeling to know we can now secure ours and our sons' futures."

Josie, who works at Joanne's Hair Fashion, was at home on Sunday morning when she discovered their big win.

She said: "I was checking the numbers on Teletext and was crossing them off on the tickets.

"I was saying to myself 'I've got that one, and that one, great I've got four.' Then I realised I had all six.

"I had to wait until Mick got back from walking the dog before I could actually confirm I wasn't dreaming.

"Once Mick had checked the ticket, we went over to my mum's where she looked at it again and that's when it really started to sink in."
