Classic car enthusiasts are revving up for the annual open-air Midlands Festival of Transport this weekend.

About 1,500 cars, some dating back to the 1920s, will be joined by vintage, classic and sports motors at the festival in Weston Park, Staffordshire, on Sunday and Monday.

Malcolm Buttler, of Weston-under-Lizard, will displaying a Super Westfield kit car, he has spent the last two years building.

The annual festival, now in its 24th year, attracts thousands of visitors and is the first major classic motoring event of the season. This year's event includes a full arena programme, trade stands and a funfair.

Gates open at 10am and entry is £8 for adults and £3 for children. On Monday adults get in for £7. The show will wind down at 5pm each day.
