Geely’s EX2 arrives priced from £20,990

Geely has announced full pricing and specifications for its new EX2 compact electric SUV.

The EX2, which follows on from the Chinese brand’s Starray and EX5 models, is available with a 35kWh electric motor bringing a range of up to 155 miles, or a larger 47kWh battery and a range of up to 214 miles. All cars get a rear-wheel-drive layout as standard, too.

The entry-level, £20,990 Pro model gets electrically adjustable front seats, a 14.6-inch infotainment display and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. All cars get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, too, which can be accessed wirelessly.

Moving up to the £23,490 adds the larger battery pack and longer range, and it’s expected that this will be the most popular model in the line-up.

Finally, the range-topping Ultra, priced from £25,490, brings the highest level of standard equipment, with two-tone exterior paint, a 360-degree parking camera, wireless smartphone charging and heated front seats. These cars also have an upgraded six-speaker sound system and a power tailgate. An upgraded white interior can be added for £200, too.

Exterior colour choices include Moon White, Star Silver and Jupiter Pink.

All cars come equipped with advanced safety assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver-monitoring system.

The new Geely EX2 will go on sale in the UK on August 25.
