Limited series of cars harks back to classic Bentley cars.

Bentley is commemorating one of its iconic cars with a new limited series.

The Olympia Collection by Mulliner contains a series of just 12 individually numbered Continental GTs that hark back to the Bentley 6 ½ litre that was shown a century ago at the Olympia Motor Show in 1926.

Each car gets a classic Verdant to Midnight Emerald ombre paint finish which has been created exclusively for this set of cars, while contrast Champagne Gold elements are dotted across the exterior as well. There’s a lower bodywork pinstripe which refers to the nickel silver that was used on the radiator shells of the classic models, too.

With a full Blackline setup, areas such as the matrix grille, air intakes and rear diffuser are given a black finish and there are 22-inch alloy wheels with Champagne Gold accents to tie in with the rest of the car. Special Olympia Collection badges are placed on the front wings and door openings, too.

Inside, there’s a split between Cumbrian Green and Coach Green leathers, while the main dashboard is finished in black-stained, open-pore walnut veneer. As with many other Bentley cars, the controls and dials of the Olympia Collection cars get diamond knurling.

On the Continental’s rotating display, you’ll find the car’s individual number, as well as dials and bezels inspired by those found on the original 6 ½ litre. There’s more champagne gold here, too. On the seat piping, gear lever and organ stop controls for the air vents.

The treadplates are finished in black and get an ‘Olympia Collection by Mulliner’ motif, while all 12 cars will get a bespoke cover in green with that champagne gold motif once more. A handcrafted Brooklands watch will be given to each owner on handover, too.

Bentley hasn’t disclosed a price for the special-edition Continental GT, but it’s likely to far exceed the £202,000 starting price for the regular car.
