Review: Mylo Xyloto by Coldplay
It's finally here. We've waited long enough – well only since 2008 when Viva la Vida was released – now Coldplay's new album Mylo Xyloto is here.

Which makes me think with all those Ys in the name – and an X – Britain's alternative rock band even did an album named X & Y in 2005. They certainly haven't strayed from obscure names even if they are aiming to come up with something slightly different.
Featuring 14 songs, it really is a great mix. To answer the obvious question, it does sound like previous works, but it still justifies its place.
Two of the songs – Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall and Paradise – were both released as singles and both times I couldn't stop myself from playing them repeatedly. The latter fills your brain with memories of Fix You.
Princess of China even features an appearance from Rihanna. I'll let you decide if that's a good thing or not.
Other notable tracks include Up in the Flames where a touch of soul is added to the Coldplay brand.
