Studio 61 drama group will be performing Education, Education, Education at Wolverhampton Arts Centre from March 25-27.

The play is set in a comprehensive school, on May 2, 1997, the day after Tony Blair won his landslide election victory.

It revolves around a new German language assistant who has just arrived at the school, and follows him navigating chaotic classrooms, disillusioned teachers and pupils feeling the pressure of their impending exams, on their last day before study leave.

The play features a quirky 1990s soundtrack and tongue-in-cheek nostalgia, and marks 28-year-old Chelsea Wade's debut as a director.

Performances at the centre in Dunkley Street, off Newhampton Road, start at 7.30pm, and tickets are £10, bookable through wolverhamptonartscentre.co.uk or by telephoning 01902 572090.
