New sweet shop brings tradition with a modern twist to Wolverhampton
Dudley Road in Wolverhampton has long been known as a hotspot for authentic Indian cuisine, but now it has gained another jewel in its crown.
The owners of popular Wolverhampton dining spots Dosa Hut, Uday’s Indian Restaurant, Chai Gali and ORO Indo-Italian have now unveiled their latest venture: Archana Indian Sweets & Savouries.
From the moment you step through its gleaming glass doors, the aromas of freshly prepared sweets and snacks transport you straight to the heart of India.

The décor reflects the owners' forward-thinking approach, but the flavours remain firmly rooted in tradition.
The menu at Archana covers everything from classic Indian sweets, like gulab jamun, ladoos and barfis, to an irresistible selection of savoury favourites such as samosas, pakoras and spicy mixtures.
Every item is homemade, ensuring freshness and authenticity. Festival treats meet everyday indulgences, designed to appeal to both Wolverhampton’s Indian community and the wider public who have already fallen in love with the family’s other ventures.
This marks the fourth business the owners have launched on Dudley Road.

In fact, three of their establishments, Dosa Hut, Chai Gali and now Archana, stand proudly side by side, creating a vibrant hub for food lovers.
Dosa Hut became a runaway success with its authentic South Indian dishes, while Chai Gali has become the go-to spot for street food and aromatic teas.

The owners' philosophy is simple: celebrate flavours, preserve traditions, and spread happiness through food.
With Archana, they’ve managed to capture the nostalgic taste of India’s sweet and savoury culture, while packaging it in a sleek, modern environment that elevates the whole experience.
