Wolverhampton's Sophielou nominated for GRM Daily award
She's a former The Ticket Unsigned page star and now Wolverhampton's Sophielou needs readers' votes.
The singer/songwriter, who grew up on the Long Knowle Estate in Wednesfield and who released her latest single All I Need last month, has been nominated in the GRM Daily Rated Awards 2018 in the Get Rated Award highlighting the work of up-and-coming artists.
An excited Sophielou said of her nomination: "I’ve been nominated for my first ever award. And it’s now at a public vote. I’ll be attending the award show in London on September 4 but need all the votes I can get as I’m up against all London artists."
Competing alongside Sophielou for the Get Rated Award are Eric IV, Big Zeus, Blessed, Kenzo, Yxng Bruce, Lil KayG5 and Lynch.
For the first time ever, fans can get tickets to watch the show. Attendees can expect to see live performances from some of the biggest and brightest names in music, as well as watch 12 winners take home their KA and GRM Daily Rated Awards trophies.
Previous performers and winners include Giggs, Big Shaq, Lethal Bizzle, Stefflon Don and Stormzy.
