Penkridge shop JoJo's combines style and comfort for all occasions
Every item in Jo Stokes’ shop is something she would either wear herself or proudly display in her own home.
With a keen eye for both fashion and interior design, she has carefully curated a collection of one-size ladies clothing, accessories, home furnishings and fragrances.
JoJo’s, which is now based at Pillaton Garden Centre and Tearoom in Penkridge, began as a market stall in 2012.
After spending all of her working life in retail for brands including Next and River Island, Jo decided to take the plunge and branch out on her own.
When the opportunity arose, Jo later moved from the market into a shop in the centre of the village before relocating to her current premises in 2022.
“Pillaton Garden Centre is great. People can pop in, have a coffee and then pop into my shop.
“Sometimes people will come here first and then have a coffee while they think about what they are going to buy and then they will come back,” says the mother and grandmother.
JoJo’s is open seven days a week with Jo supported by a team of three assistants, who help customers and offer styling advice.
When Jo isn’t at the shop, she is busy meeting suppliers and sourcing new stock.
Visitors to the shop will find a range of Italian-designed one-size clothing as well as other fashion pieces along with bags, jewellery, and homeware.
