Young performers are preparing for curtain up on a production of a hit musical after being chosen to star in the show.
West Bromwich Operatic Society auditioned around 50 youngsters for the chance to appear in a production of Titanic.
Eight talented youngsters from West Bromwich and Wolverhampton have now been selected and are preparing to tread the boards.
They are rehearsing twice a week in the run-up to the opening of the musical, which will be staged at Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre in April.
Normally, the society only does shows with adult parts. But the latest production demanded the participation of youngsters to take on the roles of the young people who were on board.
The production coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking.
Grand Theatre spokeswoman Vicky Price said: "It's a very talented group of young people and we are very excited to be having them on stage at The Grand."
The show will be staged from April 17 to 21, with tickets costing £8.50-£19.50. Call 01902 429212 for ticket details or visit www.grandtheatre.info
