'I lost both my legs because of kidney disease - I hope my new book will help to other people facing adversity'
A Stafford man who had both legs amputated has published a book about his journey from the first diagnosis to where he is now.
Written with trademark humour by Jared Hughes, 'Getting Legless' has been published on Amazon and has already received five star reviews.
Jared's journey began in 2021 when he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease - he said he had a kidney function of just three per cent and was within two months of dying from it.

The father of four then developed arterial disease which was diagnosed after he felt crushing pain in his legs during a shopping trip in Stafford and it led to having one leg amputated in 2024 and the other one a year later.
