Popular South Staffordshire countryside pub reopens following extensive refurbishment
The doors have reopened at a popular South Staffordshire pub following an extensive refurbishment which combines countryside charm with a rustic style.
The Oaken Arms on Holyhead Road in Codsall has been given the refurbishment by owners Vintage Inns pubs, with the chain saying that visitors can expect roaring fires, cosy corners and thoughtful touches.
Highlights of the remodel include a refreshed beer garden, elegant new interiors and a stylish dining room that seats up to 90 guests.
The Oaken Arms is also offering a revamped menu alongside country pub classics like a selection of steaks, traditional fish and chips, and the hearty home-baked pie of the day.

Steeped in history, the Oaken Arms has been a pub since the early 1800s, was formerly known as The Foaming Jug, and offers a warm welcome to all including four-legged friends, with dog treats, blankets, and water available on request.
General manager Sofia Svedh-Archer, who has worked at the pub for seven years, shared her excitement about the pub’s new look.

She said: “We’re so pleased to open our doors and welcome guests old and new to see what we’ve been working on at the Oaken Arms.
"It’s the same warm, friendly pub you know and love, just with a fresh feel.

"Whether you're after a cosy corner to unwind with a drink or a lovely spot to enjoy a hearty meal, we can’t wait to share it with you."
