Stone set to display impressive collection of more than 60 classic cars in free event in town high street
Stone Town Council will again play host to dozens of classic cars later this month.
This free event will take over the High Street and Market Square between 11am and 3pm on Saturday, September 27.
A road closure will be in place for the High Street from 7am – 5pm on the day, ensuring no vehicles other than the classic cars which are part of the event will be able to access the High Street during those times.
Stone Town Council has been working with the Stone Carnival Committee to organise a collection of classic cars in Stone High Street.

Most of the cars are local to Stone and represent some of the fine classic cars in the area, with this year’s event including more than 60 cars spanning 90 years of motor car development.
In the Market Square there will be a display of American Cars, complemented with cars from the 20th century filling the High Street.

Councillor Jill Hood, chair of the council’s tourism and town promotion sub-committee said: “The town council is pleased to be able to bring a classic car event to Stone High Street once again.
"With such a wide range of vehicles there is sure to be something for everyone.
"It has been a pleasure to work alongside the Stone Carnival Committee and we are very grateful to their support in co-ordinating this event which is free to attend and is always a family favourite.”
