'Incredibly kind': Wolverhampton Hells Angels deliver toys to children at New Cross Hospital and receive a thank you from the mayor
The spirit and generosity of Hells Angels bikers in Wolverhampton shone through as members brought festive cheer to children at New Cross Hospital.
Wolverhampton Hells Angels delivered hundreds of toys to New Cross hospital to be donated to the children’s ward.
There were a huge selection of toys for individual children and also items to be keep at the hospital for all children to be able to use.

The Penn based biker group who have been established for 40 years have been busy over the last few weeks buying and wrapping all of the gifts ready for the event, and also visited Penn Hall School earlier this week where presented them with a £1,000 donation from money raised through fundraising efforts this year.

Wolverhampton Mayor Craig Collingswood was amongst the visitors to meet them at New Cross where the toys will be distributed across the departments and wards where children will be spending Christmas.
He said: "This is typically Wolverhampton. We have a group of people here from the city who are making an incredibly kind gesture in their time and effort towards a charity based at the main hospital in the city which is close to mine and many other people's heart.
"My daughter the mayoress works in the heart and lung department as a nurse and she and all the staff work incredibly hard to look after people including children for whom Christmas is such a special time of year - this will help making spending the time away from their families hopefully more bearable."

Amanda WInwood, charity development manager for Your RWTC, the charitable arm of the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust said they were delighted to receive the toy donations and they would go a long way to making sure every child spending Christmas in hospital receives them.

She said: "It is a difficult time for children and their families over Christmas but we make sure through the charity that all children are visited by Santa and they receive a sackful of presents on Christmas Day.

"It is quite a big operation logistically to get it all arranged and to have groups like The Hells Angels who have not only gathered the toys, but wrapped them and delivered them is a real help for us.
"Not only that but the way they engaged with the kids was fantastic and the youngsters loved seeing the bikes and those who were able to, sitting on them so we thank all of them for their time - this is the second Christmas they have visited and they have promised they will be back next year."
