Community hub launches free music mentorship programme led by acclaimed producer

Walsall homeless charity, Midland Langar Seva Society (MLSS) proudly launches the launch of Rhythm & Respect, a dynamic new music development programme designed to empower young people through creativity, expression and professional mentorship.

Hosted at the MLSS Community Hub, the initiative offers free weekly sessions for young people aged 8-25 years, providing access to singing, rapping, music production, and engineering in a supportive, community-driven environment.

Inspiring the next generation through music

Rhythm & Respect aims to nurture emerging talent by offering young people a safe, inclusive space to build confidence, explore music-making and develop their artistic identity. The programme align’s with MLSS’s ongoing mission to create meaningful opportunities that enrich and uplift the local community.

Powered by highly acclaimed music producer: S Finesse

At the heart of the project is S Finesse, an acclaimed Walsall-born producer known for his work across the UK rap and hip-hop scene. With an impressive track record and a growing international presence, S Finesse brings industry-level knowledge, creative insight, and a passion for mentoring the next generation.

Career highlights include:

  • Collaborations with major UK artists such as Fredo and Nines, as well as international names including Shubh and Jazzy B

  • Five records produced for Potter Payper

  • Four records produced for Fredo

  • Contributions across three UK #1 albums

  • A rapidly expanding catalogue shaping modern British music

His experience positions him as an invaluable guide for young creatives eager to build their own careers.

A launchpad for aspiring artists

Through Rhythm & Respect, participants will benefit from:

  • Expert mentoring from a chart-topping producer

  • Hands-on sessions using real production and recording equipment

  • Guidance in songwriting, beat-making, recording vocals and engineering

  • A supportive community focused on growth, creativity, and positive expression

The programme is open to complete beginners as well as those already making music at home.

S Finesse, speaking about the project, said: “I’ve been fortunate to work with some big names around the world. Now it’s time to pour that back into the youth. There’s so much talent in our communities - this project is about giving them a real chance to develop it.”
