Fireworks at West Park: Parking, prices, what's on and when as Wolverhampton celebrates
It's set to be a night of lights, bangs and shouts of awe as the annual fireworks night event takes place in Wolverhampton.
The Wolverhampton Fireworks Night event will bring thousands of people to West Park this Saturday (November 1) to watch the displays and enjoy the entertainment on stage, all of which is being organised by Komodo Fireworks.
It is the second time the event has taken place at West Park, following a successful debut in 2024, and it is set to be a night for friends and family to come together and enjoy the entertainment on offer.
What time does it open and where can I park?
West Park will open to the public at 5pm, with the gates at Park Road West and South Gate open for all ticket holders and the gate at Park Road East acting as an early exit gate.
There is no onsite parking at the event, but a number of Wolverhampton Council car parks will open within walking distance of the park.
Organisers have said there will be a limited number of accessible parking spaces available to Blue Badge holders along Park Road West, which will be available on a first come first served basis.
Attendees have also been reminded that there is no re-entry to the event once a ticket has been scanned.
How much are tickets to the event?
People are advised to buy tickets in advance of the event, after last year's sold out.
Pre-bought adult tickets (for people aged 16 and over) cost £10, child tickets (aged between three and 15) are £8 and infant tickets are free.
For people buying on the gate, adult tickets are £15, child tickets are £10 and infant tickets are free.
Official tickets are only available via the official Komodo Fireworks website and from Wolverhampton Council.
What is there at the event for people to do?
There will be a main stage at the event, with renowned Wolverhampton presenter Dicky Dodd helping to keep the crowd entertained.
Acts playing on the stage will include a Harry Styles tribute.
After the main display, the party continues with three tributes to Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift, with organisers saying it’s a post-show concert people won’t want to miss.
As well as this, there will also be a funfair, a licensed bar and plenty of street food options throughout the site.
What displays can I watch?
There will be two displays at the event, catering for all ages.
The first event at 7.15pm will be the Children's Low Noise Musical Display, which organisers said is "a gentler, music-choreographed display designed especially for younger guests and those with sensitive ears - still magical, just with fewer bangs".
The second display at 8.30pm will be the Spectacular Main Musical Display. Organisers said: "Our main show is a high-energy, perfectly timed display where every firework bursts to the beat of some of the biggest hits. A true sensory spectacle."
