The Wednesbury Christmas lights were officially switched on on Saturday (November 22) by Emmerdale star Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle on the soap, as the highlight of the Sandwell Council-organised event.
Mr Charnock, who was at the lights switch-on last year, was the guest of honour at Saturday's event and took the time to meet soap fans, taking numerous selfies and chatting with fans of Emmerdale.
The Rotary Club of Wednesbury were also in attendance to make collections of donations, while Paw Patrol brought some colour and fun to the occasion and the main stage featured a variety of acts.
At 6pm, the time came for Mr Charnock to officially turn on the lights, with a huge fanfare and cheers from the hundreds in attendance.
