Ned's Atomic Dustbin was formed in Stourbridge in 1987, and alongside local bands 'The Wonder Stuff' and 'Pop Will Eat Itself' built a strong fanbase in the West Midlands and across the UK, performing at Reading Festival, Glastonbury and on a worldwide tour during the 1990s.

Despite achieving worldwide success the band remain closely tied to their Black Country roots, and are now being honoured by local artist 'Cal' with a large mural on the side of Eden Midcalf estate agents on Hagley Road.

"It's a celebration of our music history," Cal explained. "We've got a lot of music history in Stourbridge, and we're got history of street art here as well.

"Working on this piece of artwork at this time of the year makes it a little bit weather-dependent, but I'm hoping to get it done in the next few weeks. I've got some friends that will be helping out too, and we hope to have it done as soon as possible."
