The X Factor stars yesterday revealed they will go their separate ways after five years together.

The four members – Aston Merrygold, aged 25, Marvin Humes, 28, Jonathan "JB" Gill and Oritse Williams, both 26 – are due to perform at Birmingham's Pride on May 25 and the Fusion Festival at Longbridge's Cofton Park on August 31.

The band has confirmed their appearances will still go ahead – along with a farewell concert at the LG Arena in December.

They will also bow out with a final single and a greatest hits album.

The band apparently agonised over their decision to split for months.
