Review: Tremonti, Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton
With his background in multi-million-selling US rock giants Creed and Alter Bridge, you might be forgiven for thinking that Mark Tremonti might sneak a couple of those bands' hits into the set for his new project, Tremonti.

But that would be to belie the confidence the singer and guitarist has in his latest work.
That confidence was well founded as Tremonti led his band through a short but punchy set at the Wulfrun that took in all 12 tracks from the band's debut album, All I Was, plus a couple of non-album songs, All That I Got and Gone.
Expanded from a three-piece in the studio to a four-piece on the road, Tremonti was supported by rhythm guitarist Eric Friedman and drummer Garrett Whitlock along with Wolfgang "son of Eddie" Van Halen on bass.
Mark Tremonti has used All I Was to channel the music he was into as an young aspiring guitarist, the likes of Pantera and Metallica.
Last night saw thrashing rhythms and shredding solos combine with the familiar melodic structure of his work with Creed and Alter Bridge. In many senses it was like listening to both of those bands "turned up to 11".
Kicking off with a brutal album opener Leave It Alone, other highlights of the night included You Waste Your Time, Decay and a caustic Wish You Well.
And as a final treat, Tremonti promised to meet fans after the show and "sign everything you've got".
