Birmingham Ballroom closes down
Music venue The Birmingham Ballroom, which has hosted some of the biggest names in rock and pop, has been closed with immediate effect.

The city centre venue, in Dale End, announced the closure via its website.
In a statement bosses said: "It is with great regret that we announce the immediate closure of The Birmingham Ballroom. May we take this opportunity to thank all the people who have supported us over the last 18 months."
All shows and events are cancelled at the, former 02 Academy, and ticket holders should contact vendors for refunds.
