By day Nathan Farrell pulls on his uniform to deliver letters around the streets of the Black Country as a postman. But by night the 26-year-old is a singing star in the making.
And now he is preparing to make a name in the music world after making it through to the regional finals of a national live music competition.
Mr Farrell, of Church Street, Bloxwich was one of around 300 singers who auditioned at Birmingham's NEC to try and get a place at the Open Mic UK event.
The father of two, who has been a postman for more than eight years, was one of 20 acts picked to sing in the regional finals at Birmingham's NEC on October 6.
Mr Farrell rushed to the auditions last Saturday after his postal round in Bloxwich and was the last act to be seen by the judges.
Mr Farrell said: "They were closing up but luckily they agreed to see me. I sang one of my own songs."
