Extra date for One Direction

X Factor pop stars One Direction today announced a second Birmingham date as part of their arena tour next year.

As thousands of fans caused website The Ticket Factory to crash when tickets went on sale today at 9am for their show at the LG Arena on March 23, 2013, the band said they will also play the arena on February 23.

Fans were queueing from the early hours outside the arena box office.
