W.A.S.P. to play special Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall gig

Controversial American heavy metal veterans W.A.S.P. are to kick off their 30 Years Of Thunder world tour with 10 UK dates, including a gig at Wolverhampton's Wulfrun Hall.

Controversial American heavy metal veterans W.A.S.P. are to kick off their 30 Years Of Thunder world tour with 10 UK dates, including a gig at Wolverhampton's Wulfrun Hall.

They play the Wulfrun on Monday, October 1, 2012. Tickets go on sale from 9am this Friday, February 24.

Blackie Lawless and co will play a special two-hour set, which is being billed as the biggest spectacle W.A.S.P. have ever created.

The show will consist of three parts. The first set will contain songs from the first four albums, W.A.S.P., The Last Command, Inside The Electric Circus and The Headless Children. The second set will be a 25-minute shortened version of their classic album The Crimson Idol, complete with the movie accompaniment. A third set will consist of material from the new studio album, older material and everything in between.

This show will see multiple video screens, pyrotechnics, and elements from the early W.A.S.P. shows and Blackie's moving microphone stand "Elvis".

There's even the promise of the reintroducion of Blackie's infamous exploding codpiece!
