One Direction fix Birmingham LG Arena date for 2013

Fresh from winning 'Best Single' at this week's BRIT Awards, One Direction have confirmed that they will be heading to Birmingham LG Arena in March next year as part of their UK arena tour.

One Direction, known as 1D to their fans and featuring Wolverhampton's Liam Payne, will play the LG Arena on Friday, March 22, 2013.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Saturday, February 25, priced at £25 and £32.50, plus booking and transaction fees and are available from The Ticket Factory: www.theticketfactory.com or 0844 338 8000.

One Direction have sold more than 1.6 million records in just four months, have had two major hit singles, a platinum-selling debut album, two Number 1 selling books, over 100 million YouTube views and are undoubtedly one of the most popular bands around.

After a sold out show at the NIA last month, Zayn, Niall, Liam, Harry and Louis are preparing to wow even more fans when they head to the LG Arena next spring.

The 'fab five' are currently making waves in America; entering the US iTunes Top 10 and preparing for a tour alongside fellow boyband Big Time Rush. They recently made a cameo appearance in the popular Nickelodeon show iCarly, as well as appearing in M Magazine.

One Direction are seeing a big fan base build in the States, with over 100,000 fans signed up to their US Facebook page already.

Back home, the boys continue to be one of the UK's most popular bands, and the announcement of their arena tour is sure to get fans' pulses racing.
