After the lo-fi indie pop smash Dominos took the entire music-loving universe by storm back in 2009, not much has been heard of London duo The Big Pink.

Aside from a number of low-key festival appearances and a slightly disappointing album, they haven't done much to make their mark in music history.

Second album Future This, released last month, didn't do much to change that either - barely scraping its way into the top 100, it was widely panned by critics as falling flat on the face of any ambitions, instead churning out repetitive chords peppered with unimaginative lyrics and clichés.

But, bless their hearts, they are trucking on nonetheless and head to Birmingham's HMV Institute as part of their latest tour this week. They play the venue on Thursday, February 16.
