Remember Electric Six? Their smash hit singles Danger! High Voltage! and Gay Bar both hit the top five in the UK charts and are still played on the radio more than eight years after their release.

Since then, we haven't heard much from the Detroit sixsome – but it may surprise you to learn they have released an album almost every year since 2003's debut album Fire.

Of course, most of those never made it across the Atlantic to this side of the pond, and aside from a cover in 2004 of Queen's Radio GaGa, neither did any of their singles.

But they soldier on and are back in the UK promoting 2011's effort Heartbeats & Brainwaves.

Following several line-up changes, frontman Dick Valentine and co will be hitting the stage at Birmingham's O2 Academy 2 on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. The show starts at 7pm.

Tickets are £10.50, available from www.ticketweb.co.uk
