I visited Rudy's Pizza newly opened restaurant in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, on its opening weekend.
The new Italian restaurant opened on Saturday (March 21) on 10 Birmingham Road in Sutton Coldfield, serving fresh and authentic slices of pizza.
It is the largest organisation in the world to be accredited by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana - the international body that protects and promotes traditional Neapolitan pizza-making - and I thought the food was delicious.
Overall, Rudy's Pizza opening in Sutton Coldfield is great for the town, bringing an extra flair to the high street and a great dining option for all ages, families, couples, groups of friends.
The staff were really attentive and it was a really great experience at the newly opened restaurant.

The space itself is light and airy, which I loved, and the decor mixes exposed brickwork and concrete with subtle lighting.
There is wooden furniture and a glowing orange pizza oven located in the heart of the restaurant where you can see the chefs hard at work.
The space was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. There's even an upstairs space with an extra seating area, so the venue fits a lot of people.
The venue boasts a huge main restaurant, a terrace out front and a private dining area behind the bar.
I visited on Sunday evening which you would expect to be quite quiet. However, there were many groups of people coming in for food during the evening - swapping a roast dinner for a tasty pizza.
The food itself was very delicious and flavoursome.

We ordered garlic bread for the starter - and it was huge! It was so tasty but I would definitely order this to share, not just for one person, as it is really filling. Great value for money!
We ordered the triple pepperoni pizza and the romagnola pizza, a light, fresh Italian pizza featuring creamy cheese and savoury prosciutto.
The pizzas aren't the best I've ever had but they were really flavoursome. They also aren't ones for holding and eating with your fingers as they are quite thin and fall apart easily.
The whole concept is using cutlery to devour the slices of pizza - which may not be your cup of tea if you like using your hands to eat pizza.

We ordered tiramisu for dessert and again, it wasn't the best I have tasted, but it still was enjoyable and very creamy on top.
The menu boasts an array of starters, pizzas, side salads, extra toppings and dips. There are also a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on the menu. The Berry Spritz I ordered was delicious.
The menu does not have pasta or other Italian main courses - it solely focuses on pizza.
All in all I thought the restaurant was great, and a lovely addition to Sutton's high street. It's a great dining option for locals, serving tasty pizzas and the atmosphere was very relaxed and chilled.
The former Built Unique Co gym premises has been transformed - and I really hope the Italian restaurant is here to stay in Sutton Coldfield.
