I visited Digbeth Dining Club’s buzzing new canal-side venue in Dudley that’s ‘been a long time coming’

With delicious food at a beautiful canalside venue, the new Digbeth Dining Club site in Brierley Hill is one to visit.

The new Dockworks Waterfront venue faces the post-industrial wharfside charm of Dudley Canal Marina and boasts several food vendors.

The opening today (February 27) followed months of intensive specialist construction, engineering, and design work to ready the space, previously empty for 15 years. The venue sits on a former steelworks site in Brierley Hill and has been reimagined with a £500,000 refit to now host the UK’s most exciting street food brands.

The new development features a crescent-shaped food trader court and seating set within a two-room indoor space. The food vendors are all positioned outside. On its opening day the food vendors included Gyro Guys, Libertine Burger, Badboy Fried Chicken, Disco Fries and Scrumptious Stacks. Hawker Dan Asian Street Food was also along the line-up with 2021 Masterchef Professionals champion Dan Lee, from Birmingham, cooking up delicious dishes.

There were many people trying the food, enjoying the atmosphere inside, and ordering drinks. It was a great vibe with the indoor space giving off an industrial and edgy warehouse look.
