What is 'The Pink'? New signage pops up on former Great Barr Sandwich shop - here's what you need to know
Great Barr residents have been pondering what's coming to their local area following the sudden closure of Sandwich last year - but rest assured, the future remains pink.
New signage has popped up on the front of a vacant dessert shop in Great Barr prompting residents to ask 'what will it be' in their local Facebook group.
The large pink building was formerly known as 'Sandwich', which closed abruptly in July last year, having only been open since December 2024.
Located on Cross Lane, the shop aptly sold sandwiches, tea and desserts in a colourful and eye-catching pink cafe - which can be seen from quite a distance down the road.
All signage was removed from the building shortly after its closure which was previously home to a newsagents.
But now, a new business is set to open in the building - unsurprisingly renamed 'The Pink'.
