Lichfield café steps into new year by serving up double helping of free jewellery and watch valuations
A coffee shop owned by a Lichfield Auction House is serving up a double helping of free valuations of jewellery, watches, gold and silver during the first full week of the New Year.
The Auction Café by Richard Winterton Auctioneers in Lichfield is offering the appraisals with Midlands gemmologist Georgina Southam FIRV FGA DGA BA (Hons) between 9.30am and 3pm on Tuesday, January 6 and Wednesday January 7.
Georgina will also be at the Market Street venue on Tuesday, January 13, 20 and 27.

Recent auction highlights have included a vintage Bulgari Parentesi cuff bracelet, sold at £9,600, a 9ct gold compact sold at £2,300; a Rolex Lady Datejust sold at £4,000, a Liberty & Co silver and enamel mantel clock, sold at £1,400, and a George III silver salver, sold at £1,150.
Different specialists will also offer valuations at the café during the month, with Richard Winterton looking at general antiques and collectables plus giving advice on house clearances and the auction process from 9.30am to 12.30pm on Wednesday, January 17.

David Fergus will also be evaluating antiques, with a special focus on glass, ceramics, decorative art, paintings and pictures, between 9.30am to 12.30pm on Wednesday, January 21.
And on Thursday, January 29, Phil Ives will be at the café for a special valuation event focussing on stamps and postal history, running from 9.30am and 3pm.
