Two West Midlands restaurants reach finals of prestigious national kebab awards

Two restaurants from the West Midlands will be going up for the chance to gain national recognition after being named as finalists for an industry award.

The two Birmingham restaurants, Mr Souvlaki in Northfield and Izgara steak house bar and Turkish restaurant from Kings Heath, will go up against restaurants from across the United Kingdom after being named as finalists in their respective categories for the 14th British Kebab Awards.

The awards ceremony honours Britain's best kebab chefs, restaurants and takeaways, with the winners being unveiled on February 24 next year at a ceremony at the Park Plaza Westminster Hotel in London.

Kebab fans can vote for their favourite restaurants in the national categories of Best Delivery, Best Greek Restaurant and/or Takeaway, Best Kosher Shawarma Restaurant and/or Takeaway, Best Lebanese Restaurant and/or Takeaway, Best Value Restaurant, Best Vegan Kebab (Restaurant or Takeaway), Chef of the Year, Customer Satisfaction, Fine Dining Restaurant, Kebab Van of the Year, Supplier and Manufacturer Award.

Mr Souvlaki was named as a finalist for the Best Greek Restaurant and/or Takeaway, while Izgara steak house bar & Turkish restaurant will go up for the Best Kebab Restaurant Regional award.

Voting will continue until January 24, allowing the public to have their say in selecting the winners.

The 14th British Kebab Awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, February 24 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.
