'Reimagined with such delicious creativity' - Cadbury World unveil spectacular chocolate nutcracker at Birmingham Hippodrome
A special chocolate creation has been unveiled as part of the return of a special ballet performance.
Cadbury World has produced a new sweet spectacle with its latest chocolate creation A Fruit and Nutcracker, a festive figure made entirely from Cadbury chocolate.
Every detail of the festive figure, which was unveiled as Birmingham Royal Ballet return with their production of The Nutcracker, has been handcrafted by Cadbury World’s chocolatiers, from its boots, belt and buttons.
The doll was crafted from 25kg of Cadbury Chocolate and stands at 90cm tall and the grand reveal took place at the heart of the Birmingham Hippodrome, alongside the ensemble of Sir Peter Wright’s The Nutcracker.
The chocolate creation stood tall as ballerinas twirled and pirouetted blending timeless tradition with a little Cadbury World Christmas magic, harking back to Cadbury Fruit and Nut’s iconic 1970s advert which featured Tchaikovsky’s famous music.
Nathan Barnett, General Manager at Cadbury World, said: “We’re thrilled to unveil our latest festive creation, the Fruit and Nutcracker, alongside the Royal Ballet.
"Crafted entirely from Cadbury chocolate, our talented team of chocolatiers have poured hours of skill, care and creativity into bringing this seasonal showstopper to life, from the intricate detailing on the uniform to the perfect festive finish.
The creation is the perfect celebration of Birmingham’s artistry, tradition and Christmas spirit, and we can’t wait for our visitors to see it in person this Christmas”
Tom Rogers, Creative Content Producer at the Birmingham Royal Ballet said: “Christmas at Birmingham Royal Ballet is always full of magic, but this year we’re adding an extra sprinkle of sweetness with Cadbury World’s ‘Fruit and Nutcracker’ creation.
"The Nutcracker has been enchanting audiences for generations, seeing it reimagined with such delicious creativity is a real treat.
"It’s a wonderful way to bring the magic of Birmingham Royal Ballet’s storytelling together with the joy of Cadbury chocolate.”
The Fruit and Nutcracker will be on display at Cadbury World from December 14 to December 24, where guests can snap a seasonal selfie with the creation.
