Popular chain German Doner Kebab invites Wolverhampton foodies to beat the heat with launch of 'spiciest ever meal'

A popular kebab chain is challenging customers to beat the heat after launching what it is calling its hottest menu item to date.

German Doner Kebab (GDK) has launched the Inferno OG, a fiery twist on the brand’s OG kebab, made with GDK’s signature blend of premium meats, fresh salad and toasted waffle bread, all taken up a notch with the exclusive Inferno Sauce, crafted using ghost chillies for a bold, flavour-first heat.

GDK said it had created the Inferno after multiple requests from customers and it will be available to buy from stores across the country, including at the Wolverhampton branch on Queen Street.

It said that ghost chillies are among the world’s hottest, ranking more than 400 times hotter than jalapeños on the Scoville scale, and joins GDK’s lineup of signature dips, Yoghurt, Garlic and Spicy, as the next level of heat for those looking to test their limits.

The launch of the Inferno OG follows a series of milestone moments for GDK in 2025, including the opening of its 150th UK restaurant and the brand’s first Irish location, as well as the introduction of GDK brand new value offer, the Fiver Menu — offering premium doner at an everyday price.
