Sutton Coldfield set for a feast as popular three-day food festival set to return with 75 traders and live entertainment
Sutton Coldfield is set for three days of quality food, refreshing drink and a fun atmosphere as a popular food festival returns.
The Food Festival is organised by Visit Royal Sutton Coldfield BID, in partnership with LSD Promotions, and will be the third festival to take place in the town.
The three-day Food Festival will take over Sutton Coldfield town centre from Friday, September 12 to Sunday, September 14, and promises a weekend of food, fun, and entertainment for all the family.
There will be 75 food and drink traders, offering everything from sizzling street food and artisan produce to global flavours, sweet treats and craft drinks, as well as a live DJ, the Comedy Waiters Duo, stilt-walking chefs, free face painting for children and walkabout entertainment.
Michelle Baker, BID manager at Visit Royal Sutton Coldfield Business Improvement District (BID), said: “Bringing large-scale events like the Food Festival into the heart of Sutton Coldfield has a tremendous impact on footfall in our town centre.

"We all know that town centres have changed and we have to create reasons for people to visit which is why we run regular events.
"We hope to see record levels of footfall, as we saw at our food festivals in April and last September, creating a real buzz that we hope will also benefit the shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés.
"For us, it’s about putting Sutton Coldfield in the spotlight and giving residents another reason to visit their local town centre as well as attracting people who may not have visited for a while, or are discovering Sutton Coldfield for the very first time.
"We want people to have a great day out, be proud of their local town, and with every reason to come back.”

Siobhan Noake, communications and engagement manager at LSD Promotions, said, “We’re thrilled to be working alongside Sutton Coldfield BID once again to bring the Food and Drink Festival back to the town centre.
"This event is all about celebrating community, showcasing amazing food and drink, and creating a fun, vibrant atmosphere for visitors of all ages.
"With over 70 traders and a fantastic programme of free entertainment, it’s set to be an unmissable weekend for Sutton Coldfield.”
The festival will run from 10am to 7pm on September 12 and 13 and from 10am to 5pm on September 14. More information can be found on the Sutton Coldfield Food Festival event website.
