Green Duck Brewery has brewed a special beer to honour the Black Sabbath frontman, who died on July 22 at the age of 75, as well as raise funds for the Cure Parkinson's charity.

The beer, named Paranoid after one of the band's biggest hits, is a 4.3 per cent pale ale which Green Duck owner and head brewer Alex Hill was a nice and simple beer with no bells or whistles and which will go on sale from Monday (August 4).

Mr Hill spoke about the process of creating it and naming it and the artwork accopanying the beer. saying that it was all about respecting Ozzy Osbourne's memory.

He said: "We had an internal discussion as to what the beer was going to be and we originally thought of a stout, as it's Black Sabbath, but we're in the middle of the British summer and what we wanted to do was sell as much of it as possible to be able to donate the money to charity.

"The beer is one that everyone can drink and any pub can have it on without worrying about not being able to sell it, so then we went through a different set of names and decided to keep it simple and recognisable so that people would know it was a Black Sabbath beer.
