'We are always grateful for the support and love we have had from our customers': Popular Wolverhampton Indian restaurant celebrating after major award recognition

The owner of a popular, high-end Indian restaurant in Wolverhampton city centre has spoken about award recognition, the continued popularity of his restaurant and his work to keep things fresh and exciting.

Mo Khan has been reflecting on the recent award recognition for The Bilash, which has been a feature of the city's culinary scene on Cheapside for 45 years.

The restaurant, which serves a high quality blend of Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine, has been recognised for the quality of its food and service through the award of a certificate of achievement from the Harden's Restaurant Guide and the awarding of the Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence from the AA.

It is another year on the AA guide for the restaurant and the second rosette from the guide for the restaurant and Mr Khan said the continued recognition was a great achievement for everyone at the restaurant.

He said: "We've been acknowledged with our second rosette from the AA Guide, which is a fantastic achievement, and we've been in the guide since 2012.

"We can only thank everyone who has dined with us over the last 45 years and I'm grateful for my father Sitab for setting up the business and creating a foundation for us to be able to serve and cook for everyone who comes here."
