The bar will operate from inside the Coffee Lounge at the historic hall.

It normally closes at 4pm - but opening hours are being extended until 7.30pm on Fridays in August, starting on Friday August 1.

The wine is being supplied by The Wine Press, an independent merchant based in Lye.

Councillor Damian Corfield, Dudley Council's cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a late afternoon or early evening glass of wine or a cold beer on the terrace and watch the sun come down over the lake.

“We have a brand new wine list and are delighted to be working with a local supplier in The Wine Press.

“It will only be on Fridays to start with, but if it proves popular we will look to extend it.”

The rest of the park - including the new children’s playground - will also be open until 9.30pm until August 18, and until 8.30pm up to September 1.
