People were seen enjoying the attractions yesterday, with crowds wearing face masks and socially distancing.

Funfairs were allowed to reopen on Monday alongside other outdoor attractions such as zoos, fairgrounds and theme parks.

The city's mayor, Councillor Claire Darke, who represents Park ward, in Wolverhampton, said: "I think it is great for the park and people of Wolverhampton [that the funfair has opened up] because of Covid easing, and people want to get out and about.

"It has been set up to enable people to enjoy themselves in a Covid-safe way. The council are monitoring that.
