The story follows Jack and his larger-than-life mum, Dame Trott, as they try to save their village.

The evil Giant Blunderbore has stolen the magical Golden Hen, which lays golden eggs.

Without it, the villagers cannot pay the rent on Trott’s Farm and all hope seems lost.
