There are plenty of options for people to choose from and many people will have a preference for what their favourite Christmas film is, as well as debate about whether one particular film is a Christmas film or not.

In a recent poll conducted by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), with 2,000 people surveyed, the most popular film picked was Home Alone, which starred Macaulay Culkin in 1990, with the 2003 British romantic comedy Love Actually starring Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant taking second place.
